Luxury Vinyl Plank is probably the most durable product on the market and the new styles, colors and textures are amazing. I personally still like carpet in bedrooms but in the rest of the house LVP is the best solution. You can buy the clic products as low as $1.99 sf and as high as $7-$8 sf. Believe me you get what you pay for. The low end products have a 6 mil wear layer the higher end products have a 20-30 mil wear layer. The wear layer is the top coat of the product that protects your floor. 12 mil is the minimum i would put in my house. We actually sell more 12-20 mil products. Ok so you are putting something cheap in a rent house the $1.99. Our average selling price is probably $3-$4 for residential homes.
